The Presidential Review of export controls is the culmination of a growing consensus amongst governments, industry, and commercial entities that a more streamlined , up to date, defense equipment and technology control mechanism is necessary. Elements of the current arrangements which work well should be retained. These will be discussed. Changes which may be necessary will be identified together with the review commissions progress.
